- Aerial Refueling: Take on one of aviation’s most demanding skills – plugging into a tanker in mid-air. Fly as the receiver behind a dedicated aerial tanker using either real-world method: the rigid flying boom or the hose-and-drogue. Seven ready-to-fly tankers are included, among them the Boeing KC-46 Pegasus, KC-135R Stratotanker, Airbus A330 MRTT and A400M Atlas. Fit your aircraft with an adjustable refueling probe – sized and colored to taste – for jet fighters, cargo planes or helicopters, then dial in the challenge with four difficulty tiers: from a forgiving cinematic Movie mode through Rookie and Pro up to the demanding Ace, each adding or removing assistance. Position your tanker with a Buddy, Intercept or Orbit racetrack route (an experimental Live Orbit is in the works). More than 50 aircraft ship with pre-defined refueling configs, and almost any other can be set up in seconds by adjusting the contact point.
- Formation Flight Recorder (NEW): Be the whole display team by yourself. Fly and record a lead pass with LEADER RECORD, then play it back with LEADER REPLAY so the formation leader flies your recorded line. Slot in as a wingman, capture your own pass with WINGMAN RECORD, and watch it all fly together with WINGMAN REPLAY – building intricate multi-ship routines one aircraft at a time. A scrub-able timeline lets you preview and seek any moment of the recorded flight.
- Timeline Keyframes (NEW): Smokes, flares, camera moves and formation changes can be keyframed along the recorded track, so your effects and shots trigger automatically and perfectly in sync every time the routine plays back. Feel free to edit/add/remove keyframes even after flights are recorded to reach the perfection.
- Cinematic Camera Director (NEW): Film your display like a broadcast with a suite of camera modes – Observer, Chase, Fly-By, Cameraman, Orbit, Sweep, Tower, Formation and more – with adjustable distance, field of view, smoothing and shake.
- Action camera (NEW) highlights most valuable events of your flight – flares launch, formation break, or refueling tanker pre-contact. Experience the action from the other point of view!
- Formation Radio Comms (NEW): Bring the show to life with formation radio chatter and voice callouts, with adjustable speech, radio noise and volume.
