Kinetic Assistant 0.8 is out! Main changes – UI improvements, some bugs fixed and missing features added, and most important – thermals import from https://thermal.kk7.ch/ available now. No need to deal with CSV files. Just check their map for coverage, find suitable location, start the flight in MSFS and press the KK7 button on Thermals tab. To see thermals in LNM – you can export them as CSV and load by Userpoints > import section.
thermal.kk7 is freeware project, so if you like it – they have donation button in the Feedback section!
4 feedbacks on Kinetic Assistant 0.8 – another thermals improvement
Hi
I am having problems finding thermals using fs2020 & Kinetic Assistant 0.9.4.0, I have selected KK7 and it says 113 thermals total, is their a way I can see where they are when flying, also their is a compass with a blue arrow on the outer edge, what does this mean.
You can see active thermals on nav screen as red circles (example in program description page > 10. Nav screen). They are placed about 5-10 kilometers near to each other, so you need to fly around to find some.
As an option you can press CSV button (near to KK7 button) and load this file (thermals map) in the LittleNavMap program, where you will see all imported hotspots.
Blue arrow is wind indication (direction and speed). Use it to find perfect ridge conditions – when wind from the west, stay close to the west side of the hill or mountains.
thankyou for your reply, found it, great glider and software, thankyou for all you hard work, appreciated
No problem. Huge update of the glider in development, stay tuned.
